Charles Oines of Irrational Designs is the CAD sculptor and Michael Lovejoy is the physical sculptor. What was your inspiration for doing 6mm Sci-Fi? My first love is the 6mm fantasy stuff, but I own a ton of 6mm scifi and couldn't resist trying to put some stuff out for that as well. I am really fond of Reaper's CAV line which was all CAD sculpted, so I wanted to give 6mm some of the same treatment. Other companies have the gothic scifi stuff pretty covered, so the direction I would like to go in is all mid to ultratech stuff, and less the WWI/WWII aesthetic. I just figured there is no sense in duplication of effort. I noticed your current lineup has a sort of Ogre flavor to them. What are your plans for this range? I am a huge fan of OGRE, and really love the whole land battleship aesthetic, as silly as I guess it is. My releases will be modeled after Ogre armies insofar as they will have equivalents of Light tanks, heavy tanks, support tanks, and then the superheavies. My aim is to release some large (60-80mm long) centerpiece units that are Bolo/OGREesque. So the next release for the grav tank force would probably be a gunship unit and 1 or 2 superheavy units, OGRE sized with various weapon options. What are your future plans for the 6mm Sci-Fi range? After that faction is finished, I was going to let the sculptor go wild and do some sleek predatory looking alien tanks, with an aim to making some interesting designs...that is dependent on how the grav tanks do commercially though. Do you have an official release date for the figures? The grav tanks have been prototyped and investment cast with the exception of the light tank I just posted. I am hoping to have that done in January, and have the grav tanks released for March at the latest. The Sci-Fi Dinosaurs look like a ton of fun. What was your inspiration for them? As to the dinosaurs...I used to watch Dino-Riders as a kid, who doesn't like dinosaurs with guns strapped to them? Thank you very much.
