Jimbo of Art Crime Productions just sent along a bunch of greens or should I say grey goodness in the form of the Vorq-la.  The sculpts are of 15mm dino infantry, done by Pierre Francois Jacquet.

Jed from Antenociti's Workshop sent over a bunch of goodies for me to review. First up are the G.O.T Agency Secure Crates. These are all resin and have tons of detail. Some of the crates may require a little sanding on the bottoms to remove excess resin, but overall they are excellent.  The crates would be perfect in any scenario based 28mm Sci-Fi game.

Crate size is 15mm x 15mm x 15mm.  Each blister (£7.50 inc Vat) comes with 4 sealed crates, 4 activated crates and 4 open crates with lids.

15mm.co.uk just released a nice Artillery piece for the 15mm fantasy range of Dracci figures.  While these are fantasy figures, these could easily work in Sci-Fi.

The Dracci make use of Wylde Magicke and their finesse in crafting jade weapons infused with power to create their artillery. This huge jade crystal, when focused properly, can direct bolts of deadly magicke fire at foes.

parts and labour #4 Don't Mess with the Lohan

This was brought on by a dare from Tom (miniaturereview.com). He said, 'Honestly, how can you pass this up?' It's true. I couldn't write this stuff and it just fell in my lap. I feel so dirty.

Dark Art Miniatures has a nice set of futuristic gladiators.  They also have a game called Brutal.   Urban Mammoth also has a really nice range of gladiators for the Urban War line.  Since I don't have any of the Dark Art Miniatures, I am not sure how they compare size wise.  The Urban War figures are pretty awesome.

Below are a few examples of the Urban War Gladiators

Otherworld Miniatures has some really creepy crawlers called Carcass Scavengers.  These look to be perfect for 15mm alien monsters.  These suckers are big.  They come with 50mm bases.

Here are some Comparisons of the Critical Mass Games alien races.  I really don't know how the guys at Critical Mass Games keep coming up with great concepts.  The figures are absolutely gorgeous in person.  So far, the figures have required little if any cleanup.  The resin models are really crisp with no bubbles or minor flaws.  The metal figures are outstanding and I for one can not figure out how they cast them so cleanly.

TinMan Miniatures

I would like to welcome TinMan Miniatures as the latest sponsor of the MiniatureReview.com.  TinMan Miniatures specializes in an excellent range of 28mm victorian/martian era sci-fi miniatures.  I just received some of the figures (awesome by the way), so look for a review by next week.

Just got an email from Alex of 15mm.co.uk about some new 15mm Octopod Alien figures that were just released.  I really like the look of these.  They would go perfectly with the Khurasan Miniatures Aliens of the Pelagic Dominate.  The packs sell for £3.50 (per pack of 10 figures).

A new manufacture website called Tengu Models was just launched.  It has some very interesting and gruesome 28mm Sci-Fi figures.  I especially like the aliens and the zombie with the large arm.

With the new movie Predators coming out, I thought I would track down some of the makers of Predator like figures in 28mm.

First up is Copplestone's Future Wars Hunter Aliens & Hunter Aliens with guns.

Old Crow Model's Inaps (Use to be Ainsty).  What is neat about these figures is you can buy them in clear resin.

You can also find figures that are more like 35mm from the Horrorclix Predators set.
