Building the ultimate Bug Army (Bees, Ants, Grass Hoppers and Crabs oh my) for 15mm is much easier these days thanks to Highlander Studios Khurasan Miniatures, Ground Zero Games and Spriggin Miniatures  While there are other manufactures out there, these 4 companies will get you want you need to have an amazing bug army.

Moonfleet Miniatures releases 15mm sci-fi Phug aliens.  These were I believe originally 15mm sculpts offered by Peter Pig.  I am glad that they have found a new home and are once again available.

Khurasan Miniatures have just released a bunch of really great Sci-Fi figures including the Rock Jumper Crawler, Sepulvedan Resistance Fighters, Sponk and Federal Marine Special Assault Brigade in Power Armor.

 

 

Protolene "Tamaska/Fenrir" Heavy Carrier - 1 Variant (PRVH7a - £20.00)   The kit will be released at Salute on April 23rd and will then be on general sale via the website on April 26th. The kit contains all the components for the construction of 1 Tamaska OR Fenrir model.

 

Sounds like there will be some extra pieces available for conversion, Sweet.  Those big guns are so going to be converted.

 

Heresy Miniatures is coming out with some really nice 28mm Sci-Fi troopers and a sniper.  Check out their Pre-Order page.  They also have quite a few other figures in their Sci-Fi range.

 

 

Z4Miniatures just released the Type-25E Battlesuit "Bouncer".  The figure is sculpted for 28mm, but I could see it being used in 15mm as a mech.  I don't know why, but the figure reminds me of "The Star Wars Kid".  It is very alien looking.

 

 

West Wind Productions are taking pre-orders for the Spider Mech.

 

 

Khurasan Miniatures really produced a winner with the L-HAC.  Mine arrived last week and I went to town on it.  All I can say is wow.  The L-HAC is a really impressive Mech/Robot.  The model comes in 11 pieces.  The Legs and feet are metal, while the rest of the model is resin.  The way the model was designed, you're able to attached many of the parts in various positions.  The Shoulders, Head and body have ball joints which allow for a wide variety of positions.  I thought about using magnets, but couldn't hold off on building it.

 

Topgun Marketing LLC is currently running a painting competition on their 15mm Grav Tank lineup.  The paint job of the Grav Tanks by Richard Meaden below is absolutely outstanding.  I think people are going to have a hard time coming up with a better and more unique paint scheme.

 

The vehicles are made of solid polyurethane resin, with metal weapons and accessories.  The larger vehicles are 85mm's long x 55mm's wide, and the smaller ones are 75mm's x 43mm's, making them compatible with all of the other 15mm grav tanks and infantry fighting vehicles on the market, at least in terms of size.

 

The tanks come in a smooth-hulled variant, which comes without all of the circular surface detailing, for a sleeker, more advanced look or with
he Active Armor Defense System (AADS) ©.

Rebel Minis have 2 versions of the HAMR Suits (The Titan Marine Mk.I HAMR Suit & the Earth Force Mk.I HAMR Suit).  These were sculpted by John Bear Ross.  Check out IronRook's blog for more pictures and upcoming add-ons.  I have these on order, so I should be able to do some really nice comparisons soon.

Khurasan Miniatures just released the very cool Cafferata-Class APC. This is the first wheeled/hover vehicle I have seen.  The wheels can either be set in hover mode (Re-tracked) or in (Road/Lamborghini) mode for driving.  Check out the KM Blog for a full write-up on this sucker.

 

Here are some more 3D prototypes of the 6mm Makat from Art Crime Productions.  The army is really starting to take form.

 

Xmarx came out with some really nice looking sci-fi trucks.  These are probably about 8mm-10mm scale.  Although a little big, they would still work for 6mm.
