Here are some new Pelagic Dominate troopers known as the Myzontid Rangers. The are going to be released next week.

From Khurasan Miniatures

Myzontids are pitiless and calculating killers, and are the perfect snipers, and either operate with, or are associated with, a lone marksman who will often take a day or longer working himself into position to eliminate his target.

Here are some shots of various 15mm tanks and transports.  I will get an over head shot later.  I don't have any vehicles from Ground Zero Games, Brigade Models or some of the other manufactures yet.  I am not sure what the status is on DLD Productions, but the vehicles are sure nice.  Old Crow seems to have the best price point on vehicles given their size.

Here is the first look of the Khurasan Miniatures Mekanoid Hatchet.  This is a prototype and the finished product might look a little different.  Pulse cannons are missing from the bays, and the right engine is not on.  This sucker will be armed with seven bays for pulse cannons, and a battery of missiles in a silo in the top rear.

What is really cool about this model is the engines are positionable as well as the ship itself. The flight rod goes into a ball, so the craft can be positioned at various angles.  Check out Mark's blog for a nice little writeup.

Here is a first glimpse of the Mekanoid Dictator from Khurasan Miniatures minus its circular tubes on the legs and "cheeks" which hold pulse cannons made in white metal (14 in all).  Estimated cost for this bad boy is going to be around ($69.95).  The Dictator will make one impressive centerpiece on the table.

Here are some upcoming Squamata Imperialis from Critical Mass Games.  I must say these are pretty wacky looking.  I can not really get a good feel for them.

From Critical Mass Games

The Squamata are a disposable asset as far as the rest of Kaamados society is concerned. Made up from the numerous genetic anomalies and birth defects that are part and parcel of their reproduction cycle the Squamata that aren’t eaten by their parents and siblings are pressed in to military service where they serve as battlefield servitors, cannon fodder, unwitting suicide bombers and a mobile emergency food supply.

The physical appearance of the Squamata varies considerably although they average 3’6” and characterized by the heavy boots, large gauntlets and hood that all combine to obscure any and all traces of their imperfections and deformities.

Well it is finally here.  The War Rocket miniature line by Hydra Miniatures is now available.  These look great and are going to be a joy to use.  You have a choice of 4 different factions including (Imperial, Galacteer, Valkeeri & Zenithian).  My favorite right now is the  Imperial Class 2 rocket ship.  I find it very Flash Gordon looking.  The paint job also makes it look outstanding.

For those attending Salute, you may want to try and track down Rob Parkinson.  Rob has worked full time & freelance for many years as an artist and has a diverse background working in many different mediums over the years and is more than happy to discuss life as a professional artist, or even commissions if you need his services.

As abit of fun Rob will also be carrying around some spot Critical Mass Game prizes during the day, to win a prize, simply find Rob (he will be in CMG attire), at 11am, 1pm or 3pm and announce to him, "thats a fine pair of W.P.'s your wearing today Rob".

Note - One prize per time slot. The first person to do this will win a spot prize, prizes are limited to one per person on the day (stalkers need not apply). Rob's decision is final.

On Friday, April 23, 2010, Hydra Miniatures will release their first wave of War Rocket miniatures.  The digital sculptors, Phil Beauchamp and Steve Meli, have been busy finishing ship designs, making sure Hyrdra Miniatures produces the best sculpts possible.  Having seen these figures up close, Hydra Miniatures has done an outstanding job in both quality and casting.  The figures I received had little to no flash and are a joy to look at.  If your into pulp sci-fi War Rocket figures will be a must have.

Marios from PlasmaBlast Games just sent over some fantastic 3-D renders of the upcoming Progenitor Super Heavy Tank.  I have to say this might be his best work yet and he already set the bar pretty high.

Here are some pictures of the upcoming Koomandos Dominion by Critical Mass Games.  I must say these look outstanding.  The Kaamados Dominion are the next alien race to be release in the CMG line of miniatures.  If your lucky enough to attend Salute, you might see these bad boys in the flesh.

Not too long ago I dropped in on a convention called OwlCon.  There was an interesting game being played where a bunch guys were using some very ingenious gaming aids by Fight's On.  These included Missiles, Airframe/Engine Damage Markers & Surface to Air Missile (SAM) Sites.  I thought these made the game so much more exciting to watch and play.   Be sure to check out Fight's On website more more products.

Ravenstar Studios
recently reintroduced the Cold Navy line of Spaceships.  The new line is now made in resin instead of metal.  The new ships being introduced in the Terran lineup include the Knox Scout, the Anteres Destroyer, the Seraphim Cruiser, the Triumph Battlecarrier & the God's Wraith Battleship.  All these ships are brand new to the Cold Navy lineup.  This is fantastic news for both old and new players of the Terran fleet.
