Khurasan Miniatures will soon release the Tribal Class DPLS (dual purpose light spacecraft).  This looks like a great center piece for various 15mm scenarios. Head on over to Jon's Khurasan Miniatures blog for a really great writeup.

The DPLS was designed by Jon from Khurasan Miniatures and Mark Mondragon, and rapid prototyped by Mark. The computer renders are by Mark, and the physical copy was painted by Neldoreth of An Hour of Wolves and Shattered Shields.  All I have to say is Mark is the man and his mastery of prototype design really shines.

Here are some greens for the upcoming Critical Mass Games Naga, the leader cast of the Kaamados dominion.  Phil Lewis is the sculptor.  I think he has done a bang up job.

Just in case you haven't seen Jeff Racel's paint job of the Khurasan Miniatures Ogre Beetle, here it is in all its glory.  Check out a ton of comparison pictures Jeff put together.  Jeff also put together a great little writeup on TMP.

TinMan Miniatures has a nice 4 armed Horde Warrior 1 available for Pre-Order.  This sucker is big (49mm head to toe.)  The pre-order price ( $5.25) is rather cheap for a miniature of this size.  I have to say that is one ugly alien in a good way.

Jon from Khurasan Miniatures sent along a nice little bug called the Ogre Beetle.  I have to say it is really impressive for many reasons including detail, easy assembly, looks, and sturdiness. Mark Mondragon from DreameForge-Games has done a fantastic job with the sculpt and really has set a new standard for 3-D miniature sculpting.  Be sure to check out the Khurasan Miniatures' blog for a full writeup on the Ogre Beetle.

The Ogre Beetle comes in 6 parts  including Body {resin}, 4 legs {metal} and a jaw {metal}. I thought the parts were the perfect mix of metal and resin.  This is a must have model if you're into Starship Troopers or any other Sci-Fi game that requires large bugs.

Khurasan Miniatures releases some great 15mm Orcs called The Great Enemy.

From their website

In a heroic past, the ultimate evil -- a fallen angel whose black heart covets all -- conjures up nightmares to make war on the noble creations of the Gods.

The evil one's minions include endless columns of vicious orcs who befoul the earth -- hordes of close combat warriors, supported by pikemen and archers, led by huge veteran captains. More terrifying still are the Wights, heroes of old buried with armour and weapons in barrows, whose spirits are cruelly manipulated and driven to war by the Great Enemy, for we are told that necromancy is his province.

And yet to come, what horrors from the abyss lead these dark hordes into battle, threatening to overwhelm the fair clans who were awakened by the Gods?

Here is something a little different.  It is a game called Warheads.  The figures are just plain fun and the game looks to be very promising.  The website is outstanding and the artwork is top notch.  Make sure to check out the Warheads Medieval: Issue One

From the Warheads Website

Medieval Tales is set in late 11th century Britain, where men were bold and sheep were nervous. The first generation of British Normans grew up in this land to inherit the manors and castles of their fathers, the original conquering knights of William's army. We've set our tales around the area known as the Welsh Marches, far from the centre of power in London, and with a reputation for lawlessness and strife. This a land to which robber barons and mercenaries from the continent flocked in the wake of the conquest, seeking to grab what land and plunder they could. It's a land of hunts and wars. populated with rival knights, Saxon and Welsh rebels and bandits, dangerous beasts, magic and miracles. Oh, and let's not forget the dragons, witches, unicorns, trolls and numerous other beings of fable and folklore that stalk the dark woods and bowers.

Dark Realm Miniatures releases some more ships for their Hostile Stars line.  I really like the Kraytonian Fleet's Souldagger Battleship.  It really looks different from most of the spaceship stuff out there.

Recently Critical Mass Games released the Protolene Tamaska/Fenrir Heavy Carrier vehicle.  The vehicle comes with the option to equip it either as the Tamaska or the Fenrir.  This means you get a few extra pieces left over depending on how you set it up.  The vehicle will require some modeling skills to assemble.  I would like to see CMG come out with directions on how to best assemble their vehicles.  I opted to pin a few pieces to make sure that they were more secure than just gluing them.  I also used magnets to attach the turret.  The vehicle is big and quite nice looking once assembled.  This has to be one of the most complicated resin models I have built to date.  The resin was well cast and should hold up nicely during game play.

One thing that may appear odd in the pictures below is the funny green resin that the Protolene Marrok "Scout Variant" Battlesuit is made from.  I haven't seen resin used in that color before.

Miniatures are from Khurasan Miniatures, Ground Zero Games and 15mm.co.uk

A while back Khurasan Miniatures released the 15mm Vespulids.  Thanks to Jeff Racel taking lots of comparison pictures you can see how they match up to Eureka's German Sci-Fi Troopers.  I didn't realize how big the Vespulids were.  Eureka Miniatures Sci-Fi Germans are a little smaller than Rebel Minis new Titan Marines
